The term “AI expert” is everywhere — and that’s precisely why I avoid it.
AI is not a single skill. It’s a collection of:
- techniques
- tools
- models
- assumptions
What matters more than expertise in models is understanding:
- where AI adds value
- where it introduces risk
- where it should not be used at all
In complex environments, credibility comes from:
- knowing limitations
- communicating uncertainty
- designing systems people trust
I’d rather be known for applying AI responsibly than for claiming mastery of it.
